Antigone is the rightful name of this story. Although Creon sees his wrong in the end he is still not the hero. Antigone is the hero in the story because she is strong in what she believes in and brave enough to venture through with it. Creon is a coward who sits back and murders a woman who is defenseless. He changes in the end but at what a cost. His wife, son, and niece die on his account of favoritism. Antigone dies out of love and courage, a quality in which she is admired about. All heroic stories have the title of the hero why should this be any different.

The play “Antigone” is rightfully named after the heroine, Antigone. The play, in which Antigone buries her brother out of love and respect, even though Creon ordered against it, is a classic tale of staying strong and carrying out whatever you believe in, even if it defies the views of the majority. The play should not be named after Creon because he was nothing, but a selfish, cowardly king, who stood by while Antigone, his son, and his wife, all killed themselves. It was only until after they were gone that he felt guilt and remorse. If the play is named after a hero or heroine, Antigone’s death in courage, love, and bravery, display the qualities of a typical hero.

This play is rightly named Antigone. Within the story, we are rooting for Antigone while despising King Creon. This is because what Antigone is doing is morally correct. Around this time, people believed that the soul did not enter the afterlife until the body was buried under dirt. Antigone goes against her wicked uncle and does what is right even though she knows the consequences of her actions thus proving herself as a heroine. Her defiance against her uncle, while knowing the fatal consequences, gives enough reasons for the play to be named after Antigone.

I believe that the play is rightly names “Antigone”. The story goes beyond the cultural normalities that are evident in the society. Creon is portrayed as the antagonist of the story. No story is ever named after the antagonist. Antigone displays just character and lives a morally sound life. Despite what the consequences may be, she bravely covers her brother’s body. That is the reason that the play is names in her honor.

This play was rightfully name, because Antigone is the true hero in the story. In every situation she faces she doesn’t back down, and is confident in herself. I don’t think the hero would be Creon, because he didn’t listed to the sloothslayer who had warned him about the people who would die at his expense. The death of both Antigone and his son shows that he was more concerned about himself and his kingdom than anyone else.

I believe the play is rightly named “Antigone,” after the heroine of the story. King Creon, although he plays a pivotal role in the plot, is an antagonist and not a hero. Antigone fits the profile for a heroine because her call to adventure was the death of her brother and thee need to buy him, and she entered into a special world as she became a criminal for burying her brother.

I agree with the title chosen for this play. In this play Antigone is the heroine because she stays true to herself. Even though she is ordered not to bury her brother, she stuck to what she believed in and did it her way. In this play Creon is the antagonist. Usually most stories are not named after the antagonist. Creon was a nasty king and a murderer. He did not have respect for anything. Therefore he does not deserve the title of this play. Even though Antigone had her flaws, as all characters do, the play was rightfully named after her.

I agree that ‘Antigone” should be the title of the play because she is the heroine of the story. Creon is the antagonist of the story. The story is named after Antigone because she tries to save her brother’s image by burying him. Like a hero, she did what she had to do, and she became a criminal for that action. This act of bravery, shows that Antigone deserves to be the heroine, and the title of the story.

I agree that “Antigone” is the rightful title of the play. While Creon is the antagonist, Antigone is the heroine because she goes out against his orders and buries her dead brother so he could pass on to the afterlife. She knows the consequences of the deed, but she is not afraid of any punishment as long as her brother’s soul is at peace. King Creon was a heartless person and only buried the brother he liked the best, which shows that he does not deserve the title named after him. Heroes or heroines should be people who act to help those who cannot help themselves; like Antigone did for her dead brother.

I believe that the real hero of the play is Creon. Creon is the hero because although he did make bad decisions he tried to make it right. He did not let Antigone bury her brother, but he tried to change that because of what the soothsayer said. He sadly did it in the wrong order so Antigone killed herself. He did save the kingdom because of his actions of letting Polynesius get burried. Antigone, although she did fight for what she believed was true, spent a lot of her time in a jail cell.

I think that the play is rightfully named Antigone because she is the heroine of the play. Although Creon does play an important role, he is the antagonist of the story which usually is not the title of stories. Antigone is very brave and strong as she is not suppose to bury her brother even though she does. She did what she knew she had to do proving that she is great for the title of the play.

I believe that the play deserved to be named after Antigone because she is the heroine of the play. She did what was right even when she knew what the consequences were. Creon is the antagonist of the play, Creon is a self centered and stubborn character. The play does not deserve to be named after him. While Antigone wanted to bury her brother, Creon did not want to. Even when the soothsayer told him not to bury Antigone’s brother. Antigone showed a true act of heroism. As a hero its their job to help others.

I believe that Antigone deserved to be the title of the story because she tries to do what she believes is right and give her brother the honor he deserves. Creon, though he also tries to do what he believes is right, can be seen as an antagonist in this play with his actions and the dishonor he brings to Antigone’s brother’s body.

The rightful name of the play goes to Antigone, the stories heroine. Sure the “great” King Creon sees his flaws in the end, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t an antagonist. He definitely shows signs of antigonist through how stubborn and stuck up he is and how his actions led, pretty much, to the death of his niece, Antigone, and his son, Haiman. Antigone was the true hero, or heroine, of this story and some people might not like the fact that she is woman but it doesn’t hide the fact she was truly the heroine of her story.

I believe the name of the play “Antigone” is rightfully named. I believe this because of the fact that I believe Antigone is the heroine. I think she is the heroine because she stays strong throughout the play. She does what she believes is right, and what is right even when she knows she could get in trouble. Although the King of Creon later realizes that he dishonored polynesius’s body, he does not come to the realization until Antigone has already killed herself. Even though she was a woman, I still believe that she was the heroine of the story.

I believe the play should be named after Antigone. Even though all her choices may not be heroic she has the qualities and makings of a heroine. She is what the story is about and her struggles against Creon making him the antagonist. The story centers around Antigone’s strength, rebellion, and choices making her the protagonist of the story. While the story does involve Creon’s selfishness its main focus always circles back to Antigone.

Antigone is the appropriate name for this story. Even though, she makes mistakes and all actions are not considered heroic she is still the heroine of the story. Antigone stands up for her believes, while Creon acts cowardly. Creon does, however, realize his wrongdoings later, but I would not consider him to be the rightful hero of this story.

I believe that Antigone is the rightful heroine of the story. Antigone displays heroic characteristics by standing firm for what she believes in, while Creon is a coward in the story. Antigone deserves to be the heroine because she acts as a role model to the audience and portrays heroic characteristics such as courage, bravery, and selflessness.

Even though it contrasts the Greek culture to name a play or story after a woman, the story of Antigone is, in fact, named after the heroine of the play… Antigone. Even though King Creon plays a big part of the story, he is the antagonist, and a play or story is not usually named after the antagonist. What makes Antigone the heroine is because of her bravery and courage, but she still ends up being a tragic heroine because she does not change her beliefs at the end, and she kills herself.
