Bronte: Chapters 4-5

Minor Characters.

A minor character can act as a foil character to a major character. As you read tonight focus on the minor characters..Bessie, Mr. Brockelhurst, the little girl reading “Rasselas”.

Want a question from the reading quiz?

Here ya go….When Jane was staring out the window at the beginning of chapter 4, she mentions, “carriages often came to Gateshead, but none of them ever brought visitors in which I am interested.” What bird was Jane staring at? (That’s the hardest question on the quiz. You should do well with the rest).
